What Makes SportsSoles Different?
The difference begins with SportSoles' status as an exclusive factory-authorized Professional Fit Center for DaleBootUSA, the only custom-made ski boot manufactured in the United States.
Also unique to SportSoles is the use of our Advanced Casting Technique™ weight bearing impression system for foot orthotics and custom footbeds. The system creates an extremely accurate and reproducible model of the foot. This direct mold is integrated into our sport-specific orthotic fabrication process.
Finally, every pair of SportSoles' custom liners are individually molded using the highest quality materials and are interfaced to the footwear with exacting attention to detail.

History of SportSoles
Owner Tim Newhart's experience in sports-specific orthotic work extends over 24 years. He has served as Technical Services Director of Peterson Laboratories, one of the first sports-specific Pedorthic Labs in the United States. During his tenure at Peterson, Tim directly assisted in product development, conducted fittings for athletes and was responsible for teaching orthotic molding techniques in both clinical and sports retail settings. Tim conducted orthotic fabrication, ski boot fitting and stance alignment seminars nationwide in partnership Nordica ski boots. The Lake Placid, NY location of Peterson Laboratories afforded Tim the opportunity to work with World-Class athletes including current and developing members of the US Ski Team, the US Biathalon Team, the US Waterski Team and the US Cross Country Ski Team.
Tim’s formal education includes a BS from Kutztown University, MBA studies at The University of Nevada-Reno, studies at Northwestern University Medical School for Pedorthics, participation in Clinical Sports Medicine conferences and continuing education through MasterFit University.
